Lord, What Will You Have Me to Do?    Acts 9:6

“And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do." KJV

Paul was a well educated man. Faithful to the Jewish laws. A persecutor of Christians. But Jesus softened the heart of this man, to where he now  is no longer a persecutor, but a defender of Christians.  He must learn God's way through the gospel (Jesus Christ). The Lord is over everything. He tells us what to do just like he told Paul. Do you tremble before the Lord? Do you ask Him what do you want me to do? Are you quick to obey like Paul? If we were quick to obey, churches today would not be begging Christians to serve. To teach, assist in the nursery, serve on a committee, support the church with your worship and offerings, or support outreach and community communication. Has our trembling been reduced to a shrug?

Definition of to shrug:  1 Raise (one's shoulders) slightly and momentarily to express doubt, ignorance, or indifference.

A Christian has been saved to serve God, the Lord Jesus and humanity.  America is in a state of turmoil it has never experienced before. Leaders no longer seek counsel with God.  Many Christians no longer seek counsel with God. Corruptness has seeped into the minds of those who no longer recognize God as being Absolute. They no longer seek His wisdom.  As Scripture points out evil, "right has become wrong" and "wrong has become right".  Isaiah 5:20 - "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"  If we are going to stand in difficult times, we must walk closely with the faithful and follow their footsteps as Timothy did Paul’s. We must be prayer warriors, obedient to God's Word and "put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes."  Ephesians 6:11

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. The church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of the Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963. We band together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind. The

ordiances of the church are Baptism and the Lord's Supply.

For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. “I am the LORD,” he says, “and there is no other
